Our Story

How it all started...

Covenant Community Church was formed out of a desire of the Evangelical Covenant Church to have a Covenant church in the Cincinnati area. In 1973, a half-dozen people with prior Covenant connections met to discuss this possibility. Out of that organizational meeting came a fellowship group that regularly met in people's homes. Two years later, Cincinnati Covenant Church, later renamed Covenant Community Church, was born.

The congregation in the early years was spread out in the north suburbs of Cincinnati but eventually settled on Fairfield as its gathering place. Property was purchased in 1981 but the church spent the next several years meeting in various locations such as the YMCA, Fairfield South Elementary, and even a used car dealership!

Finally, in 1996, construction on the church's permanent home was finished at the corner of Mack Road and South Gilmore Road in Fairfield.

Expanding the vision...

Covenant Community Church has always been a welcoming place for families. In its early days, it welcomed families who moved to the area for work-related reasons. With several young families who did not have extended family nearby, the church became family for each other. This family spirit continues today as we continue to welcome new people into our faith family.

Where we are headed...

Covenant Community has always been about serving its community and that is no different today. We have formed strong relationships with the local school district and the Butler County Success program. Through these relationships, we have been able to meet new people and help those in need. We look to continue to serve our community through these vital relationships so that all people may find and follow Jesus.
